Nature represents objective beauty, something that resonates both emotionally and universally. As designers, we consciously engage with this beauty, allowing it to inform and guide our work.
Classical architecture reconnects space with the physical experience of the human body. Rooted in historical thinking from the early foundations of society, it emphasizes proportion, scale, materiality, and detail. Through this lens, space becomes dynamic and enduring, shaped by the relationship between people and their environment.
We believe space should evolve with its users, supporting a sense of shared ownership and connection. Our neutral stance on aesthetics allows emotion to act as a tool for interpreting and expressing objective beauty. As a result, our designs remain open and flexible, encouraging organic growth and participation over time.

The name origins
"Neutra" originates from the Latin word "Neuter", meaning “neither one nor the other”, a state of impartiality.
“Neutra Architects” follows the Portuguese words of “Arquitectura Neutra”, meaning an architecture that does not impose a single style or emotion.
This is a way of approaching design without preconceptions, without forcing a fixed style or image onto a project.
For us, the naming reflects the ability of listening, to people, to context and to the site. Allowing the right expression to emerge naturally from those conditions, giving us a balance between sensitivity and rationality, nature and structure, what is human and what is timeless.
